Introduced by Councilmember Adams BILL NO. 7468 (as amended) ORDINANCE NO. 5272 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO COntINENTAL CABLE- VISION OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, INC., ITS LAWFUL SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS, TO OWN AND OPERATE Abed MAINTAIN A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS ACCOMPANYING THE GRANT OF FRANCHISE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION AND ~SE OF SAID SYSTEM. WHEREAS, the City of Univereity City, Missouri, has, following reasonable notice, conducted a full public hearing, affording all persons reasonable opportunity to be heard, which proceeding was concerned with the analysis and consideration of the technical ability, financial condition, legal qualification and general character of the Company~ and WHEREAS, the City of University City, Missouri, after eratinn, analysis technical ability, said Company~ and such consid- and deliberation, has approved and found sufficient the financial condition, legal qualification, and character of WHEREAS, the City of University City, Missouri, has, at said public hearing, also considered and analyzed the plans of the Company for the con- struction and operation of the Cable Television System and found the same to be adequate and feasible in view of the needs and requirements of the entire area to be served by the said system. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of University City, Missouri, does ordain that there is hereby created, granted, and established a nonexclusive franchise for a period of fifteen (15) years for the installation, tenance of a Cable Television System within the City Missouri, to Continental Cablevision of St. Louis County, Provided, however, that the said franchise shall be subject following terms and performance conditions: operation and main- of University City, Inc., the Company. to the BE IT ORDAINED BY TNE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
