INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br /> BILL NO. 7577 ORDINANCE NO. 5373 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF { <br /> THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AND AS FURTHER AMENDED BY <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 5005, ENACTED OCTOBER 25, 1976, RELATING TO j <br /> ZONING, BY REPEALING SECTION 34-37.3, AND ENACTING IN LIEU <br /> THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 34-37.3 <br /> PERMITTED USES," SO AS TO ADD A NEW SUB-PARAGRAPH 29 FOR <br /> COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENT LOCATIONS IN A LIMITED COMMERCIAL <br /> DISTRICT; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br /> PENALTY. <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University <br /> 3 <br /> I <br /> 3 <br /> City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several zoning <br /> districts, and regulates the uses to which the premises located therein may be <br />'z put; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 34-37.3 thereof provides for permitted uses; and <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was scheduled to be held at 8:00 P.M. , on the <br /> I <br /> 21st day of March, 1983, in the Council Chamber at City Hall, concerning the <br /> i <br /> addition of commercial amusement locations to Section 34-37.3 Permitted Uses; <br /> i <br /> and <br /> i <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held and all suggestions or <br /> i <br /> objections concerning said change in said Section were duly heard and considered <br /> by the Council. <br /> i <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br /> CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> I <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University <br /> I <br /> City, relating to Zoning is hereby amended by repealing Section 34-37.3 thereof, <br /> I <br /> I <br /> as amended by Ordinance No. 5005 enacted October 25, 1976, relating to <br /> i <br /> i <br /> Permitted Uses and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as <br /> "Section 34-37.3 Permitted Uses," by amending said section so as to add <br /> I <br /> commercial amusement locations (less than 3 automatic coin-operated amusement <br /> machines) to Permitted Uses in a Limited Commercial District, relating to the <br /> same subject and re-enacting said section so that said section as so amended, <br /> shall read as follows: <br /> 34-37.3 PERMITTED USES <br /> 1. Variety stores. <br /> 2. Food stores. <br /> 3. Custom dressmaking or tailoring shops. <br /> 4. Barbershops, hair dressers and beauty parlors. <br /> 5. Self-service laundry and dry cleaning establishments. <br /> 6. Dry cleaning and laundry receiving stations that <br /> i <br /> include no processing or home delivery service. <br /> 7. Shoe repair shops. <br /> s <br />
