generality of the foregoing and notwithstanding anything contained in this <br /> s <br /> Ordinance or any other Ordinance of the City of University City, Missouri, to <br /> the contrary, the City Clerk of the City of University City, Missouri, and the <br /> Board of Election Commissioners of St. Louis County, Missouri, be and they <br /> hereby are authorized to take all action necessary or appropriate such that <br /> the election shall be conducted in full compliance with the requirements of <br /> applicable law and particularly the Comprehensive Election Act of 1977 <br /> (Chapter 115, Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended). <br /> Section 8. That the City Clerk be and the said Clerk is hereby <br /> authorized and directed forthwith to file with the Board of Election Commis- <br /> t: <br /> sioners for St. Louis County, Missouri, a duly certified copy of this <br /> Ordinance, to the end that said Board may take such action as may be required <br /> of it under the laws of the State of Missouri with respect to the special <br /> election herein provided for. <br /> Section 9. That an emergency exists in that the Board of Election <br /> Commissions for St. Louis County, Missouri, has notified the City that it must <br /> have a copy of this ordinance prior to June 14, 1983, in order for the elec- <br /> tion to be held. <br /> Section 10.
