1 Section 5. From and after Aug. 24, 1983, initially payable Sept. 9, 1983, P the Battalion Chiefs of the Fire Department shall receive a bonus payment for the eight legal holidays of the City and in lieu thereof for part of Christmas Eve, in accordance with the following: In Pay Grade Per Holiday Per Christmas Eve 18F 849 $23 Section 6. From and after Aug. 24, 1983, initially payable Sept. 9, 1983, the commissioned personnel in the Police Department, but excluding the Chief and Assistant Chief, in the pay grades shown, shall receive a bonus payment for the following days: Memorial Day (last Monday in May) , Independence Day , (July 4) , Labor Day (first Monday in September) , Veteran's day (November I1) , Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) , part of Christmas Eve (December 24) and Christmas Day (December 25) ; in accordance with the following schedule: In Pay Grade Per Holiday Per Christmas Eve 12P 842 $21 16P 45 22 18P 49 23 Section 7. From and after Aug. 24, 1983, the commissioned personnel in the Police Department, but excluding the Chief and Assistant Chief, shall receive two (2) personal recreation days, per year, in lieu of the bonus payment for the following two (2) City holidays; New Year's day (January 1) and George Washington's birthday (third Monday in February). Both personal recreation clays must be taken in the calendar year granted or shall be forfeited. Section 8. A) From and after Aug. 24, 1983, initially payable Sept. 9, 1983, the commissioned Police personnel excluding the Chief, in the pay grades shown, shall receive compensation for five years consecutive City service, excepting military leave of absence, in their present classification in the following amounts, from the sixth (6th) year through the tenth (10th) year: In Pay Grade Monthly Amount 12P 844 16P 49 18P 54 21P 65 6
