E <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON <br /> BILL N0. 7635 ORDINANCE NO. 5431 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY AND GRANT TO THE <br /> METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT A PERMANENT SEWER EASEMENT FOR <br /> THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SANITARY RELIEF SEWER OVER A PORTION OF PART OF <br /> LOT 54 OF CENTRAL SUBURBS SUBDIVISION, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BELOW, <br /> FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF ONE DOLLAR ($1.00); AND DIRECTING THE CITY <br /> CLERK TO ATTACH THE SEAL OF THE CITY THERETO. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City has heretofore acquired part of Lot 54 <br /> of Central Suburbs Subdivision; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has offered to purchase <br /> said easement for ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) for the building and maintaining of sewer <br /> or sewers; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of University City to grant <br /> the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District a permanent sewer easement for the <br /> construction of a sanitary relief sewer over a portion of part of Lot 54 of <br /> Central Suburbs Subdivision. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br /> CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Within thirty (30) days of the effective date of this ordi- <br /> nance, the City Manager, on behalf of the City of University City, is hereby <br /> authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to grant the easement <br /> described in Section 2 hereof to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. <br /> Section 2. Said easement so conveyed is described as follows: <br /> A triangular parcel of land in part of Lot 54 of Central Suburbs <br /> Subdivision and more particularly described as follows: <br /> 5 <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Shaftesbury <br /> Avenue, 66 feet wide, with the South line of part of Lot 54 of <br /> Central Suburbs, a subdivision in University City, St. Louis County, <br /> Missouri, thence eastwardly along the said South line of part of Lot <br /> 54 of Central Suburbs 104.87 feet to a point, thence northwardly <br /> 81.62 feet to its intersection with the said East line of Shaftesbury <br /> Avenue, thence southwestwardly along the said East line of Shaftes- <br /> bury Avenue 106.39 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> Section 3. The consideration for said sale is to be ONE DOLLAR ($1.00), <br /> and the City Clerk is directed to attach the Seal of the City to said Deed. <br /> Section 4.
