INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br /> BILL NO. 7641 (as amended) ORDINANCE NO. 5437 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF CERTAIN CITY <br /> OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR <br /> OWN AUTOMOBILES IN THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY <br /> AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 5390. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. From and after July 1, 1984, the officials in the position <br /> hereinafter set forth shall he required to operate their own automobiles and <br /> receive, upon prior authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts <br /> monthly for expenses paid by them in operating their automobiles in business for <br /> the City: <br /> Assistant Fire Chief $112.00 <br /> Fire Marshall 112.00 <br /> Director of Public Works 70.00 <br /> Director of Planning and Building Commissioner 54.00 <br /> Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry 83.00 <br /> Engineering Assistant I 70.00 <br /> Engineering Assistant II 77.00 <br /> Engineering Assistant III 77.00 <br /> Assistant City Engineer 83.00 <br /> Inspector I 96.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Property Maint. Inspection 96.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Notice of Violation Inspection 75.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Building Construction Inspection 107.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Plumbing Inspection 107.00 <br /> Deputy Building Commissioner 75.00 <br /> Zoning Administrator 54.00 <br /> Communication and Safety Officer 107.00 <br /> Section 2. From and after July 1, 1984, all other City employees not <br /> receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their own automobiles on <br /> City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be com- <br /> pensated at the rate of Twenty Cents (20j) per mile. <br /> Section 3. In the event the City furnishes any of the officials <br /> enumerated above automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts <br /> specified for operating their own private vehicles shall be terminated. <br /> Section 4. Ordinance No. 5390 and all ordinances in conflict herewith <br /> are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5.
