INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER BILL NO. 7643 ORDINANCE NO. 5439 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AS COMPREHENSIVELY AMENDED OCTOBER 19, 1970, BY ORDINANCE NO. 4591, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED FROM LC (LIMITED COM1-1ERCIAL) TO GC (GENERAL COM1`4ERCIAL), AS SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING THE UNIVERSITY CITY 'ZONING CODE. WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several districts and regulates the character of buildings which may be erected in each of said districts, and the uses to which the buildings and premises located therein may be put; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing, reviewed the s. classification of the property herein described; and WHEREAS, due notice of the public hearing to be held by the City Council in the Council Chamber at 7:30 P.M. on the 9th day of July, 1984, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on the 27th day of June, 1984; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all suggestions and objections concerning said change in classification of the said property were duly heard and considered by the Council. N04J, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of Univer- sity City, as comprehensively amended October 19, 1970, by Ordinance No. 4591, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the classification from LC (Limited Commercial) to GC (General Commercial) of the following described property, to-wit: Lots 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 of Block 8 of Pershing Heights, a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 1 , page 1B, of the St. Louis County Records. Section 2. Except for the change of classification herein made, said Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of University City (the University City Zoning Code) shall remain in full force and effect, as heretofore amended, and all the provisions, conditions, restrictions, and regulations therein shall apply to the property herein described, according to the classification in which it is placed by this ordinance.
