R <br /> • f • • S <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON <br /> BILL NO. 7647 ORDINANCE NO. 5443 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE ACTION OF THE <br /> CITY MANAGER IN AWARDING TO R & E ASPHALT SERVICE, INC. <br /> THE CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LIBERTY AVENUE <br /> EXTENDING FROM LAMB AVENUE TO MIDLAND BOULEVARD, A <br /> PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br /> DESIGNATED AS PROJECT NO. 770, AS DESCRIBED IN AND <br /> AUTHORIZED UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 5429, PASSED THE TWENTY <br /> FIRST DAY OF r4AY, 1984, AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br /> CLAUSE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The action of the City Manager in awarding to R & E <br /> Asphalt Service, Inc. the contract for improving Liberty Avenue extending from <br /> Lamb Avenue to Midland Boulevard, a public street in the City of University <br /> City, Missouri, designated as Project No. 770, in accordance with the plans <br /> and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer, and as <br /> described in and authorized under Ordinance No. 5429, passed the twenty first <br /> day of Play, 1984, is hereby approved and confirmed. <br /> Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to he necessary to <br /> avoid undue approval delay and assure completion during the 1984 construction <br /> season, and as such is an emergency ordinance which shall take immediate <br /> effect upon its passage. <br /> Section 3.
