F <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER LEVY <br /> BILL NO. 7648 ORDINANCE NO. 5444 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE ACTION OF THE <br /> CITY MANAGER IN AWARDING TO R & E ASPHALT SERVICE, INC. <br /> THE CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF TRENTON AVENUE <br /> EXTENDING FROM HARRISON AVENUE TO LAMB AVENUE, A PUBLIC <br /> STREET IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br /> DESIGNATED AS PROJECT NO. 771, AS DESCRIBED IN AND <br /> AUTHORIZED UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 5430, PASSED THE TWENTY <br /> FIRST DAY OF MAY, 1984, AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br /> CLAUSE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The action of the City Manager in awarding to R & E <br /> Asphalt Service, Inc. the contract for improving Trenton Avenue extending from <br /> Harrison Avenue to Lamb Avenue, a public street in the City of University <br /> City, Missouri, designated as Project No. 771, in accordance with the plans <br /> and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer, and as <br /> described in and authorized under Ordinance No. 5430, passed the twenty first <br /> day of May, 1984, is hereby approved and confirmed. <br /> Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary to <br /> avoid undue approval delay and assure completion during the 1984 construction <br /> season, and as such is an emergency ordinance which shall take immediate <br /> effect upon its passage. <br /> Section 3.
