(a) Flashing red (stop signal) . When a red lens is <br /> illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes, drivers <br /> of vehicles shall stop before entering the nearest <br /> cross walk at an intersection or at a limit line when <br /> marked, or if none, then before entering the inter- <br /> section, and the right to proceed shall be subject to <br /> the rules applicable after making a stop at a stop <br /> sign; <br /> (b) Flashing yellow (caution signal). When a yellow <br /> lens is illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes, <br /> drivers of vehicles may proceed through the inter- <br />- section or past such signal only with caution. <br /> This shall not apply at railroad grade crossings. <br /> Conduct of drivers of vehicles approaching railroad <br /> grade crossings shall be governed by the rules as set <br /> forth in Section 300.295, R.S. Mo. <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve <br /> f <br /> any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the <br /> violation of Section 21-10, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the <br /> provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to <br /> the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the <br /> City of University City. <br /> Section 4.
