INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER LIEBERMAN , BILL N0. 7710 ORDINANCE NO. 5506 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC BY REPEALING SECTION 21-10.1 THEREOF, AS ENACTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5367, ENACTED MARCH 21, 1983, RELATING TO OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALS--DESIGNATION OF RIGHT TURN ON RED INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-10.1. OFFICIAL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALS--DESIGNATION PROHIBITING RIGHT TURN ON RED INTERSECTIONS" BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO PROHIBIT RIGHT TURN ON RED AT DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-10.1 thereof, as enacted by Ordinance No. 5367, enacted March 21, 1983, relating to official traffic signs and signals--designation prohibiting right turn on red intersections, and enacting in. lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-10.1. Official traffic signs and signals--prohibiting right turn on red intersections," by amending said section so as to prohibit a right turn on red at certain designated inter- sections; and re-enacting said section so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Sec. 21-10.1. Official traffic signs and signals--designation of intersections prohibiting right turn on red.
