VEHICLE FEE COLLECTION CONTRACT THIS AGREEMENT, entered into by and between City of University City a municipality in St. Louis County, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "MUNICIPALITY", and ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY" ; WITNESSETH THAT: WHEREAS , the provisions of Sections 70.210 through 70.320 , inclusive, R.S .Mo . 1978, as amended, empower municipalities and other political subdivisions to contract and cooperate with each other for a common service, and Section *2.180(20) of the St. Louis County Charter, provides that the County Council may authorize contracts between the COUNTY and an incorporated area for a common service; and WHEREAS , the provisions of Section 4.370 of the St . Louis County Charter empower the Collector of Revenue to perform various duties that may be provided by law or ordinance; and WHEREAS., MUNICIPALITY desires for the Collector of Revenue to collect its motor vehicle fees (hereinafter referred to as "Fees") ; and WHEREAS , MUNICIPALITY has duly enacted and approved Ordinance No . 5545 , a copy of which is attached. hereto, marked Exhibit A, and made a part hereof by reference, authorizing the MUNICIPALITY to execute this Contract; and WHEREAS , COUNTY Ordinance No . , 1986 , authorizes the County Executive, on behalf of St. Louis County, to enter into this Contract: NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the promises and covenants herein, it is agreed by and between MUNICIPALITY and COUNTY as follows : 1 . COUNTY shall provide the following services to collect MUNICIPALITY'S current and delinquent Fees, commencing with the year 198, personal property tax billing. a. Upon proper certification of the annual Fees levied by MUNICIPALITY, COUNTY shall extend the entries and take such other steps as are necessary to include MUNICIPALITY' S Fees
