INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER LEVY <br /> BILL NO. 7756 ORDINANCE NO. 5552 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF CERTAIN CITY <br /> OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR <br /> OWN AUTOMOBILES IN THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, <br /> REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 5515, AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br /> CLAUSE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. From and after July 1, 1986, the officials in the position <br /> hereinafter set forth shall be required to operate their own automobiles and <br /> receive, upon prior authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts <br /> monthly for expenses paid by them in operating their automobiles in business for <br /> the City: <br /> Fire Chief $310.00 <br /> Assistant Fire Chief 118.00 <br /> Fire Marshall 118.00 <br /> Director of Public Works 74.00 <br /> Director of Planning (Building Commissioner) 57.00 <br /> Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry 87.00 <br /> Engineering Assistant II 81.00 <br /> Engineering Assistant III 81.00 <br /> Assistant City Engineer 87.00 <br /> Inspector I 101.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Property Maint. Inspection 101.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Notice of Violation Inspection 79.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Building Construction Inspection 112.00 <br /> Inspector II assigned to Plumbing Inspection 112.00 <br /> Deputy Building Commissioner 79.00 <br /> Zoning Administrator 57.00 <br /> Director of Emergency Preparedness/Safety/Communication 60.00 <br /> Section 2. From and after February 1, 1986, all other City employees <br /> not receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their own automobiles <br /> on City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be <br /> compensated at the rate of Twenty-one Cents (21¢) per mile. <br /> Section 3. In the event the City furnishes any of the officials <br /> enumerated above automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts <br /> specified for operating their own private vehicles shall be terminated. <br /> Section 4. Ordinance No. 5515 and all ordinances in conflict herewith <br /> are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5.
