For purposes of calculating consecutive service in this section, time served in <br /> the classifications of Firefighter and Paramedic Firefighter are combined for the <br /> same person. Likewise, the classifications of Fire captains and Paramedic Fire <br /> Captains are combined for the same person. <br /> Section 4. From and after May 13, 1987, initially payable May 29, <br /> 1987, employees, in the classification of Firefighter or Paramedic Firefighter, <br /> who work in the position of Captain, shall be paid, in addition to any other <br /> compensation due that employee, Fifteen Dollars ($15) per shift. <br /> Section 5. From and after May 13, 1987, initially payable May 29, <br /> 1987, employees, in the classification of Fire Captain or Paramedic Fire Captain, <br /> who are designated to work and do work in the position of Battalion Chief, shall <br /> be paid, in addition to any other compensation due that employee, Twenty Dollars <br /> ($20) per shift. <br /> Section 6. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time employees shall <br /> have their hourly rate computed as follows: <br /> The hourly rate for full-time Fire Captains, Paramedic Fire <br /> Captains, Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters, who <br /> according to Section 2 have a work cycle of 27 days, shall <br /> have their hourly rate computed multiplying the monthly rate <br /> by 12, dividing that product by 2,912. <br /> Section 7. Ordinance No. 5551, and all ordinances in conflict herewith <br /> are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 8.
