SECTION 17-703.0 FIRE RESISTANCE RATINGS <br /> <br />17-703.1 General: Floors, walls, ceilings, and other elements and components <br />required to develop a fireresistance rating shall be maintained so that the <br />respective fireresistance rating of the enclosure, separations or construction <br />is preserved. <br /> <br />SECTION 17-704.0 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS <br /> <br />17-704.1 General: All fire protection systems and equipment shall be main- <br />tained in proper operating condition at all times. <br /> <br />17-704.2 Fire alarms: Fire alarms and detecting systems shall be maintained <br />and be suitable for their respective purposes. <br /> <br />17-704.3 Fire suppression system: Fire suppression systems shall be main- <br />tained in good condition, free from mechanical damage. Sprinkler heads shall <br />be maintained clean, free of corrosion and paint, and not bent or damaged. <br /> <br />17-704.4 Standpipe systems: <br />ble. The hose shall be in the <br />free of deterioration. <br /> <br />Hose stations shall be identified and accessi- <br />proper position, ready for operation, dry, and <br /> <br />17-704.5 Fire extinguishers: All portable fire extinguishers shall be <br />visible and accessible, maintained in an efficient and safe operating condi- <br />tion, and installed in accordance with NFiPA 10-84. <br /> <br />SECTION 17-705.0 FIRE DOORS <br /> <br />17-705.1 General: All required fire resistance rated doors or smoke barriers <br />shall be maintained in good working order, including all hardware necessary <br />for the proper operation thereof. Every owner of <br />a dwelling containing two or more dwelling units shall maintain, in a clean <br />and sanitary condition, the shared or public areas of the dwelling and <br />premises thereof. <br /> <br />17-801.2 Disposal of rubbish and garbage: Every occupant of a structure or <br />part thereof shall dispose of all rubbish and garbage in a clean and sanitary <br />manner in accordance with Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City. <br /> <br />17-801.3 Refuse containers: Refuse containers shall be supplied, maintained, <br />stored and emptied in accordance with Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of University City. <br /> <br />28 <br /> <br /> <br />
