INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON BILL NO. 8050 ORDINANCE NO. 5839 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-82 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5749, ENACTED APRIL 18, 1990, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-82. STOP INTERSECTIONS -- VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTER- SECTIONS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH STOP SIGNS ON HARRISON AVENUE AT LYNN AVENUE AND ON LYNN AVENUE AT LAMB AVENUE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: Section 1- Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to Motor Vehicles and Traffic is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-82 thereof, as amended by Ordinance No. 5749, enacted April 16, 1980, relating to stop intersections, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-82. Stop intersectins--Vehicles to stop at certain intersections," by amending said section so as to establish stop signs on Harrison Avenue at Lynn Avenue and at Lynn Avenue at Lamb Avenue; re-enacting said section so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 21-82. Stoo intersections--Vehicles to stop at certain intersections. The following street intersections are hereby designa- ted as "stop intersections" for certain entrances thereto within the meaning of this Chapter.
