INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER ADAMS <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8053 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5842 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 34-100.7A OF THE <br />UNIVERSITY CITY ZONING CODE RELATING TO REAL ESTATE <br />SIGNS, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5813 ENACTED <br />JULY 8, 1991 SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE LIMITATION OF <br />ITS OPERATION TO A TRIAL PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS FROM <br />THE DATE OF PASSAGE OF ORDINANCE 5813, CONTAINING <br />A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Seotion l. Section 34-100.7a(2) of the University City Zoning <br />Code, relating to open house signs passed July 8, 1991 in ordinance <br />No. 5813 is hereby repealed and the following is substituted <br />therefor: <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Real estate open house signs and open house direc- <br />tional signs shall be permitted only during open <br />house hours and when the owner or a representative <br />of the owner is in attendance. Such directional <br />signs on public land shall be deemed with the <br />permission of a public authority as provided in <br />Section 34-100.8(d) of the University City Zoning <br />Code. <br /> <br /> Section Z. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to <br />relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore <br />incurred by a violation of the zoning code prior to the passage of <br />this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be <br />subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of University City. <br /> <br /> Section{.
