INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br />BILL NO. 8111 ORDINANCE NO. 5899 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING PARKING EASEMENT AND LICENSE <br /> AGREEMENTS BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY AND <br /> LOUIS LONDON# INC.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY <br /> TO IMPLEMENT THI8 ORDINANCE; AND CONTAINING A <br /> SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Louis London, Inc. ("London") is the owner of the <br />property at 6665 Delmar (the "Property") in the City of <br />University City (the "City"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Property is located within the project area <br />boundaries of the Delmar Loop Urban Renewal Area, a blighted area <br />under the provisions of Chapter 99.300 et seq. R.S.Mo.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, London, in conjunction with 6665 Urban <br />Redevelopment Corporation, has submitted a Redevelopment Proposal <br />dated November 12, 1992, and revised on December 4, 1992 (the <br />"Redevelopment Proposal") for the rehabilitation of the Property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of <br />the City of University City, Missouri (the "LCRA"), has reviewed <br />the Redevelopment Proposal and found it to be in conformance with <br />the Urban Renewal Plan for the Delmar Loop Urban Renewal Project <br />Area and with the City's need for coordinated, adjusted and <br />harmonious community development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on the llth <br />day of January, 1993, the City Council, by Ordinance No. 5900 , <br />approved the Redevelopment Proposal for the Property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain parking lots <br />adjacent to and in the vicinity of the Property; and <br /> <br />STL-15954~ <br /> <br /> <br />
