INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SCHUMAN BILL NO. 81],7 ORDINANCE NO. 5906 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AS COMPRE- HENSIVELY AMENDED OCTOBER 19, 1970~ BY ORDINANCE NO. 4591, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PRORERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED "PA", PUBLIC ACTIV- IVY TO "GC", GENERAL COMMERCIAL, AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 34-9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING THE UNI- VERS!TY CITY ZONING CODE. WHEREAS, Chapter 34 o~ the Municipal Code of the City of University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several zoning districts, and regulates the use to which the premises located therein may be put; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing on November 24, 1992, reviewed the classification of the properties heroin described and recommended the rezoning of said property to "GC"; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council in the Council Chambers at City Hall, at 7:30 P.M. on tbe ltth day of January, 1993, was duly published in the Watchman Advocate, a newspaper of general circulation within said City; and WHEREAS, said public hearing ~as duly held and the matter of the zoning change was thoroughly discussed at said meeting. ~IOW, THEREFORE, BE I'[ ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI~ AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter- 34 of the Municipal Code of tbe City of University City, Missouri, as amended October 19, 1970, by Ordinance No. 4591, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the classification 'from "PA"~ Public Activity, to "GC", General Commercial, with respect to the ~ollo~ing described property to wit: Part of Lot 21 of Central Suburbs, in U.S. Survey 2053, a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri~ according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 7 Page 23 of the St. Louis City (former County) records, and a portion of Mt. Vernon Avenue vacated undpr Ordinance No. 3355 University City, a copy of which ordinance is recorded in Book 332! Page 139 of the St. Louis County records, and described as follo~s: Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Olive Boulevard (as widened) ~ith the West line of amended plat o~ Wilson Square, a subdivision as recorded ~n Plat Book 61 Page 44 of the St. Louis
