INTRODUCED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SCHUMAN <br /> <br />BILL NO. 81],7 ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />5906 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AS COMPRE- <br />HENSIVELY AMENDED OCTOBER 19, 1970~ BY ORDINANCE <br />NO. 4591, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN <br />PRORERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED "PA", PUBLIC ACTIV- <br />IVY TO "GC", GENERAL COMMERCIAL, AS SET FORTH IN <br />SECTION 34-9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING THE UNI- <br />VERS!TY CITY ZONING CODE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 o~ the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City <br />into several zoning districts, and regulates the use to which the <br />premises located therein may be put; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing on <br />November 24, 1992, reviewed the classification of the properties <br />heroin described and recommended the rezoning of said property to <br />"GC"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the <br />City Council in the Council Chambers at City Hall, at 7:30 P.M. <br />on tbe ltth day of January, 1993, was duly published in the <br />Watchman Advocate, a newspaper of general circulation within said <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing ~as duly held and the matter of <br />the zoning change was thoroughly discussed at said meeting. <br /> <br /> ~IOW, THEREFORE, BE I'[ ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI~ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter- 34 of the Municipal Code of tbe City of <br />University City, Missouri, as amended October 19, 1970, by <br />Ordinance No. 4591, be and the same is hereby amended by changing <br />the classification 'from "PA"~ Public Activity, to "GC", General <br />Commercial, with respect to the ~ollo~ing described property to <br />wit: <br /> <br />Part of Lot 21 of Central Suburbs, in U.S. Survey 2053, a <br />subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri~ according to the plat <br />thereof recorded in Plat Book 7 Page 23 of the St. Louis City <br />(former County) records, and a portion of Mt. Vernon Avenue <br />vacated undpr Ordinance No. 3355 University City, a copy of which <br />ordinance is recorded in Book 332! Page 139 of the St. Louis <br />County records, and described as follo~s: Beginning at the <br />intersection of the South line of Olive Boulevard (as widened) <br />~ith the West line of amended plat o~ Wilson Square, a <br />subdivision as recorded ~n Plat Book 61 Page 44 of the St. Louis <br /> <br /> <br />
