BILL NO. 8122 INTEODUCED BY COUNCI~ER ADAMS ORDINANCE NO. 59~0 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AND ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 17-2.PM-117. NOTIFICATION OF NEW ELECTRIC CUSTOMERS;" CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT 0RDAINEI) BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to the Property Maintenance Code is hereby amended by enacting therein a new section to be known as "Section 17-2.PM-117. Notification of New Electric Customers;" reading as follows: 1. For any month when there is a change of user of residential (ram 001) or non- residential (rate 043) electric service within the City, Union Electric Company shall notify the Building Commissioner of the City in writing within seven (7) working days after the end of the month of said changes, indicating the address and apartment or unit number, and the name(s) of electric user(s) per service and address and apartment or unit number in whose name service is connected or billed. 2. Union Electric Company shall submit annually to the City an invoice for its cost associated with this ordinance. The City shall pay to Union Electric Company the amount of the invoice within thirty (30) days of receipt. Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Section 17 nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City.
