INTRODUCED BY THE ENTIRE COUNCIL BILL NO. 8135 (As Amended) ORDINANCE NO. 5923 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC BY REPEALING SECTION 21-174.1 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5003, ENACTED OCTOBER 25, 1976 RELATING TO ENTRANCE PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-174.1. ENTRANCE PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO PREVENT ENTERING FROM A PRIVATE ROAD ONTO DELMAR BLVD. CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-174.1 thereof, as amended by Ordinance No. 5003, enacted October 25, 1976 relating to entrance prohibited on certain streets and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-174.1. Entrance prohibited on certain streets, "by amending said section so as to prevent entering onto Delmar Blvd. from a private road on the south side of Delmar, 201 feet east of I-170 bridge abutment; relating to the same subject, and re-enacting said section so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 21-174.1. Entrance prohibited on certain streets It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to operate his vehicle into the hereinafter named street intersections. The director of public works shall erect suitable notices to prohibit the movement of vehicular traffic at such intersections: Delmar Blvd. Traffic is prohibited from entering onto Delmar Blvd. from private road on the south side of Delmar, 201 feet east of 1-170 bridge abutment. Lindell Blvd. Westbound traffic is prohibited at Big Bend Blvd. Mission Court: Northbound traffic prohibited at Pershing Ave.
