commodities for resale. <br /> <br />Yard - An open space on the same zoning lot with a <br />principal building or group of buildings which is <br />unoccupied and unobstructed from its lowest level upward <br />except as otherwise permitted in this Chapter, and which <br />extends along a lot line and at right angles thereto to <br />a depth or width specified in the yard regulations for <br />the district in which the zoning lot is located. <br /> <br />Yard, Front (Right-of-way, Setback) - A yard extending <br />along the full width of the zoning lot and lying between <br />the front line of the lot and the nearest line of the <br />principal building. <br /> <br />Yard, Rear - A yard extending across the full width of <br />the zoning lot and lying between the rear line of the <br />lot and the nearest line of the principal building. <br /> <br />Yard, Side - That part of the yard lying between the <br />nearest line of the principal building and a side lot <br />line and extending from the required front. yard (or from <br />the front lot line, if there is no required front yard), <br />to the required rear yard. <br /> <br />Yard, Transitional - A yard that must be provided with <br />landscaping and screening on a lot in a business <br />district which adjoins a lot in a residential district; <br />or a yard that must be provided in the manufacturing <br />district which adjoins a lot in either a residental or <br />business district. A transitional yard shall include <br />any required yard or right-of-way setback. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Except for the changes herein made, said <br />Chapter 54 of the Municipal Code of the City of University <br />City (University City Zoning Code) as amended, shall remain <br />in full forcesand effect, and all the provisions, conditions, <br />restrictions, and regulations therein shall be in full force <br />and effect. <br /> <br /> Section 5. This ordinance shall not be construed so as <br />to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty <br />heretofore incurred by the violation of Section 54-90, nor to <br />bar the prosecution of any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon <br />conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in <br />Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
