Each dwelling unit shall have at least one door opening to an exterior exit <br /> access that leads directly to the exits required to serve that dwelling unit. <br /> <br />(SECTION 906.0 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM) <br /> <br />906.10 Water Flow Tests: Water flow tests for fire sprinkler systems shall be conducted <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30p.m., Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />906.10.1 Water Flow Safety Factor: A safety factor shall be applied to all flow <br />tests for the sprinkler systems. A parallel curve shall be drawn to the actual flow <br />test curve that has been reduced by 20 per cent of the static pressure. A sprinkler <br />system design shall not exceed the 20 per cent curve. <br /> <br />(SECTION 920.0 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS) <br /> <br />920.2 Where required: A portable fire extinguisher shall be installed in the following <br />locations in accordance with NFiPA 10 listed in Chapter 35: <br /> 1. In all buildings of Use Group A, B, E, F, H, M, I-1, 1-2, R-l, or S. <br /> 2. In all areas containing commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems. <br /> 3. In all areas where fuel is dispensed. <br /> 4. In all areas where a flammable or combustible liquid is used in the <br /> operation of spraying, coating, or dipping; <br /> 5. In all areas of Use Group 1-3 at staff locations. Access to portable <br /> extinguishers shall be permitted to be locked; <br /> 6. On each completed floor of buildings under construction, other than <br /> buildings of Use Group R-3; <br /> 7. In any laboratory, shop or other room used for similar purposes; and <br /> 8. Where required by the fire prevention code listed in Chapter 35. <br /> <br />(SECTION 921.0 SMOKE CONTROL SYSTEMS) <br /> <br />921.2.4: Delete in its entirety. <br /> <br />( CHAPTER 10 MEANS OF EGRESS ) <br /> (SECTION 1005.0 GENERAL LIMITATIONS) <br /> <br />1005.5 Open-sided floor areas: Guards shall be located along open-sided walking <br />surfaces, porches, decks, balconies, mezzanines and landings which are located more than <br />30 inches (762 mm) above the floor or grade below. The guards shall be constructed in <br />accordance with Section 1021.0 <br /> Exception: Guards are not required on the loading side of loading docks and the <br /> auditorium side of stages and raised platforms. <br /> <br />(SECTION 1017.0 MEANS OF EGRESS DOORWAYS) <br /> <br />1017.4.1 Locks and latches: All means of egress doors shall be readily <br />openable from the side from which egress is to be made without the use of a key <br /> <br />-10- <br /> <br /> <br />
