41.9 <br /> <br />BILL NO. <br /> <br />8213 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHUMAN <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />5998 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF A PUBLIC <br />ALLEY SOUYH OF FORSYTH BOULEVARD BETWEEN BIG BEND BOULEVARD AND <br />MANHATTAN AVENUE IN NORTHMOOR PARK SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, IN ST, LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC <br />UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN <br />THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a public alley south of Forsyth Boulevard between Big <br />Bend Boulevard .and Manhattan Avenue in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis <br />County, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a hearing was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri, <br />at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 1995, to hear any comments concerning the proposed <br />vacation o~ this alley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of the said alley <br />were heard. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The.public alley in the following described property and all of the <br />City's right, title and interest therein, reserving, however, all public utility <br />easements, if any, is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed; said property <br />is more specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />A seven and one-half (7 1/2) foot wide, east and west alley in <br />Blocks 1 and 4 of Northmoor Park Subdivision according to the Plat <br />thereof recorded in Plat Book 16 pages 26 and 27 filed August 16, <br />1921, of the St. Louis County Records. The north line of said seven <br />and one-half (7 1/2) foot wide alley being described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point in the west line of Big Bend Boulevard sixty <br />(60) feet wide, said point being 150.12 feet more or less south of <br />the south line of Forsyth Boulevard, eighty (80) feet wide, thence <br />westerly and parallel with the south line of said Forsyth Boulevard, <br />through Blocks I and 4 of said Northmoor Park Subdivision, to a <br />point in the east line of Manhattan Avenue forty (40) feet wide, <br />said point being 150 feet more or less south of the south line of <br />said Forsyth Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Section ~.
