BILL NO. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br /> <br />8215 ORDINANCE NO. 6000 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A FIRE HYDRANT WITHIN <br />THE CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FIRE CHIEF'S DETERMINATION, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST THE CHANGES INDICATED <br />HEREIN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the St. Louis County Water Company is at present engaged in the <br />business of furnishing, distributing and delivering water under pressure within <br />the limits of the City of University City, St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> \ <br /> ¥~EREAS, rules and regulations of said company provide that an incorporated <br />city, town or village by ordinance may order new fire hydrants installed or <br />existing public fire hydrants relocated or removed within the boundaries of the <br />city, town or village; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Chief of the City of University City has determined that <br />the removal, installation and relocation of various fire hydrants within the City <br />is made necessary by consideration of public convenience and safety. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS= <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Manager of the City of University City is authorized <br />to request the installation of a fire hydrant as follows= <br /> <br />Installation - University Place - A fire hydrant in the northernmost <br />section of Morehouse Lane at a point approximately 400 feet north of <br />the center line of Balson Avenue and approximately 250 feet west of <br />the center line of Hanley Road. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
