BILL NO. <br /> <br /> BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHUMAN <br /> <br />8228 ORDINANCE NO. 6012 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-174.2 THEREOF; CONTAINING AN <br />EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, <br />relates to motor vehicles and traffic; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 21-174.2 provides for closing Groby Road during <br />designated hours; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the School District of University City requests that this road remain <br />open; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to reopen this road immediately in order <br />to improve thE; flow of traffic; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CIW, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section_l_. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, <br />relating to molar vehicles and traffic is hereby amended by repealing Section 21- <br />174.2, thereof. <br /> <br /> SectiorL2,. An emergency is hereby declared to exist in that Groby Road <br />needs to be ~eopened immediately to improve the flow of traffic. <br /> <br />Sections3_.
