BILL NO. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBERS THOMPSON AND COTTON <br />8246 ORDINANCE NO. 60,3o <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PUBLIC ALLEY BETWEEN <br />SHERIDAN DRIVE AND COOLIDGE AVENUE, FROM KEMPLAND PLACE TO APPLETON <br />DRIVE, IN DARSTDALE SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING <br />PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN <br />THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS· there is a public alley between Sheridan Drive and Coolidge Avenue, from <br />Kempland Place to Appleton Drive, in Darstdale Subdivision in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis <br />County, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS· a hearing was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri, at 7:30 p.m. on <br />~J4u~,~ 10, 1995, to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of the public alley; and <br /> WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of the public alley were <br /> heard. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The public alley in the following described property and all of University City's <br />right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, <br />however, all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />An alley bounded on the west side by the east boundaries of lots 1 through 27 of <br />Block 11 of Darstdale Subdivision, and bounded on the north end by the south <br />right-of-way line of Kempland Place, a 50-foot wide street, and bounded on the <br />east side by the west boundaries of lots 28 through 56 of Block 11 of Darstdale <br />Subdivision, and bounded on the south end by the north right-of-way line of <br />Appleton Drive, a 50-foot wide street. The total land area of the alley is <br />approximately .395 acre. <br /> <br /> ~. The City Clerk is hereby directed to have this ordinance recorded in the office <br />of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, Missouri. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
