BILL NO. 8260 INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON ORDINANCE NO. 6044 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF RIEGERT AVE. BETWEEN OLIVE BLVD. AND MORGAN AVE. IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, IN ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, there is a public street (Riegert Avenue) between Olive Blvd. and Morgan Ave. in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, a heating was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri, at 7:30 p.m, on October 4, 1993', to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of the said Riegert Ave. between Olive Bivd, and Morgan Ave.; and WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of said Riegerf Ave. were heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Sectio~ 1. The right-of-way of Riegert Ave., a public street between Olive Blvd. and Morgan Ave., and all the City's right, title and interest therein, is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving however, all public utility easements, if any; said parcel of land, in Pearl Heights Subdivision, is more specifically described as follows: Beginning at the nodheast corner of Lot 1 of Block 3, this being in the south line of Olive Boulevard, 94 feet wide, thence southwardly along the east line of Lots 1 and 8 of Block 3 a distance of approximately 247 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 6 of Block 2. Thence northwardly along the west line of Lots 6 and 5 of Block 2 for a distance of approximately 245 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 5 of Block 2. Thence westwardly to the point of beginning. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to have this ordinance recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, Missouri. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law.
