INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBEI{ SCHUMAN <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8265 ORDINANCE NO. 6048 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE COMPENSATION OF THE <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS TO $2,400 PER YEAR, AND OF THE MAYOR TO <br /> $4,800 PER YEAR, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A <br /> PROPOSITION TO AMEND CHARTER SECTION 7 TO THE QUALIFIED <br /> ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY AT THE GENERAL <br /> MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON APRIL 2, 1996, TO AUTHORIZE SAID <br /> INCREASES. <br /> ,. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Compensation of the councilmembers shall be the sum of two <br />thousand four hundred dollars ($2,400) in any twelve consecutive months during <br />his or her term of office, and compensation of the mayor shall be the sum of four <br />thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800) in any twelve consecutive months during <br />his or her term of office. <br /> <br /> Section ?. An election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the City <br />of University City, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 2, 1996, for the purpose of submitting <br />to the qualified electors of the City of University City the following proposition: <br /> <br />Proposition C <br /> <br />Shall University City Chader Section 7 be amended effective April 2, 1996, to <br />increase the compensation of the councilmembers to $2,400 per year, and of <br />the mayor to $4,800 per year?
