BILL NO. <br /> <br />8268 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER WAGNER <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />6051 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CERTAIN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />WITH THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br />IDENTIFIED AS THE "FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM" PROJECT BRM-5600 <br />(606) PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE BRIDGE, IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO <br />OBTAIN FEDERAL FUNDS FOR 80 PERCENT OF THE COST OF REPLACING THIS <br />BRIDGE; AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to remove and replace existing bridges under the Federal Aid Urban <br />Program and to be eligible for Federal funds for 80 percent of the cost thereof, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to participate in such program, it is necessary for the City to enter into the at- <br />tached agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the agreement denominat- <br />ed the "Federal Aid Urban Program Agreement" for the project identified as No. BRM-5600(606) between <br />the City and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
