BILL NO. <br /> <br />8273 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />6057 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO OFFENSES- <br />MISCELLANEOUS, AND ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE <br />KNOWN AS 'SECTION 23-59. COMMERCIAL WASHING OF <br />VEHICLES;' CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 23 of the Municipal Cpde of the City of University City, Missouri, <br />relating to Offenses-Miscellaneous, is hereby amended by enacting therein a new section <br />to be known as 'Section 23-50. Commercial washing of vehicles;" reading as follows: <br /> <br />23-59. Commercial Washing of Vehicles. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful to conduct the business of washing or cleaning vehicles on any <br />street, alley, or premises except premises located in (3 commercial zoning district <br />when such activity is operated in compliance with a duly authorized conditional use <br />permit. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br />corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 23, nor bar <br />the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Unless otherwise provided herein, any person, firm or corporation violating <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the <br />penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8, of the Municipal Code of the City of University <br />c ty. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
