BILL NO. <br /> <br />8277 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER SCHOOMER <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />6060 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF <br />CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEM <br />IN OPERATING THEIR OWN AUTOMOBILES IN TRANSACTION <br />OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6014 <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. From and after June 26, 1996, the officials in the position hereinafter <br />set forth may be required to operate their own automobiles and if so required <br />receive, upon prior authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts monthly <br />for expenses paid by them in operating their automobiles in business for the City: <br /> <br />Assistant Fire Chief 129 <br />Chief Prevention and Safety Officer 129 <br />Director of Public Works 81 <br />Assistant Director of Public Works 22 <br />Director of Planning (Building Commissioner) 62 <br />Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry 95 <br />Forester 86 <br />Engineering Assistant II 88 <br />Engineering Assistant III 88 <br />Assistant City Engineer 95 <br />Inspector I 125 <br />Inspector II 125 <br />Construction Inspector (prior years classified as <br /> building/plumbing/electric inspector) 146 <br />Deputy Building Commissioner 86 <br />Zoning Administrator 62 <br />Director of Finance and Community Development 52 <br />Mayor 10 <br /> <br />(estimate) <br /> <br /> ~. From and after June 26, 1996, all City employees other than those <br />enumerated in Section 1 above, not receiving a regular automobile allowance but <br />operating their own automobiles on City business, upon prior authorization by their <br />department head, shall be compensated at the rate of thirty (30¢) cents per mile. <br /> <br /> Section 3. In the event the City furnishes any of the officials enumerated above <br />automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts specified for operating <br />their own private vehicles shall be terminated. <br /> <br /> <br />
