BILL NO. 8279 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER WAGNER <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6062 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE <br />FIRE CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHTERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN <br />FROM AND AFTER JUNE 26, 1996, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. <br />6029. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> ~ From and after June 26, 1996, initially payable July 12, 1996, Fire <br />Captains, Paramedic Fire Captains, Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters, hereinafter <br />designated, shall receive as compensation for their services such amounts as may be fixed <br />by the City Manager in accordance with the Civil Service Rules and Pay Grade Schedule <br />A, included herein, and not less than the lowest amount and not greater than the highest <br />amount set forth in Schedule B. A listing of executive, <br />administrative, and professionally designated employees or positions shall be issued by <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief shall be <br />27 days or 216 hours per cycle. Hours worked in excess of these totals, when <br />authorized in advance by the Fire Chief, are customarily paid at the rate of time and <br />one-half (1-1/2) of base pay.
