BILL NO, 8282 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER WARE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6064 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 21-150.1 THEREOF, RELATING TO CLOSING TIME ON <br />MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS 'SECTION 21-150.1. CLOSING TIME ON <br />MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS; F. XCEPTIONS,' BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO <br />AS TO EXEMPT MONTH, LY PARKING PERMIT HOLDERS FROM THE CLOSING <br />TIME; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CIIY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, relating to <br />motor vehicles and traffic, is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-150.1 thereof, relating to <br />closing time on municipal parking lots, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as <br />"Section 21-150.1. Closing time on municipal parking lots, exceptions," by amending said section so <br />as to exempt monthly parking permit holders from the closing time; so that said section, as so <br />amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 21-150.1. Closing time on municipal parking lots: exceptions. <br /> <br /> 1. Municipal parking lots 1 and 2 on Delmar Boulevard shall be closed for public use from <br />2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. every day of the week. <br /> <br /> 2. Any vehicle displaying a valid parking permit Issued pursuant to Section 21-143 of this <br />chapter and the lawful users of such vehicle shall not be subject to said closing time. <br /> <br /> 3. Except as permitted herein, no person or vehicle shall be within the confines of a <br />municipal parking lot when it is closed. <br /> <br /> Section ?. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation <br />from any penalty heretofore Incurred by the violation of Section 21-150.1, nor bar the prosecution for <br />any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall, <br />upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal <br />Code of the City of University City. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
