BILL NO. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER LIEBERMAN <br />829O ORDINANCE NO. 6072 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN <br />PROPERLY, HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, AT OR NEAR 1000 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., <br />FROM PR-O (PLANNED RESIDENTIAL-OFFICE) TO GC (GENERAL <br />COMMERCIAL), AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 34-9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City <br />(University City Zoning Code) divides the City into several zoning districts, and regulates <br />the character of buildings which may be erected in each of said districts, and the uses <br />to which the buildings and premises located therein may be put; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after a hearing, reviewed the classification <br />of the property herein described and recommended the rezoning of said property to <br />GC (General Commercial); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council in the <br />Council Chamber at City Hall, 6801 Delmar Blvd., at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th day of <br />September, 1996, was duly published in the Watchman Advocate, a newspaper of <br />general circulation within the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public heating was duly held and the matter of the zoning change <br />was thoroughly discussed. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City <br />(University City Zoning Code) is hereby amended by changing the classification of the <br />following described property, at or near 1000 Pennsylvania Ave., from PR-O (Planned <br />Residential-Office) to GC (General Commercial): <br /> <br />A tract of land in U.S. Survey 378, Township 45 nodh, Range 6 east, in St. <br />Louis County, Missouri, being Lot 2 of Mercy High School subdivision, a <br />subdivision recorded in Plat Book 243, Page 94 of the St. Louis County <br />Records and being described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southeast comer of Lot 2 of Mercy High School subdivision, <br />being a point on the north line of Vernon Avenue, 60 feet wide; thence <br />along the north line of Vernon Avenue, north 82 degrees 16 minutes 00 <br />seconds west 883.70 feet (883.27 feet record) to the east line of <br />Pennsylvania Avenue, 60 feet wide; thence along the east line of <br />Pennsylvania Avenue the following: north 07 degrees 45 minutes 00 <br />seconds east 38.10 feet to a point of curve, thence nodhwest along a <br /> <br /> <br />
