BILL NO. 8304 INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER MUNKEL ORDINANCE NO. 6086 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF MARILYN LANE IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, IN ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, there is a public street (Marilyn Lane) in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and WHEREAS, a hearing was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri, at 7:30p.m. on September 30, 1996, to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of said Marilyn Lane; and WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of said Marilyn Lane were heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The right-of-way of Marilyn Lane, a public street in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis County, and all University City's right, title and interest therein, is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving however, all public utility easements, if any; said parcel of land is more specifically described as follows: Starting at the point of beginning, being the southwest corner of lot 19 of the above Wilson Square Subdivision, and going a distance of 25 feet westwardly along the prolongation of the south lot line of the said lot 19 to a point lying on the centerline of the vacated Marilyn Lane (50 feet wide) right-of-way (vacated by University City Ordinance No. 4167 on September 20, 1965); thence turning left 90 degrees, and going a distance of 67.56 feet southwardly along the centerline to a point lying on the north right-of-way of Wilson Ave. (50 feet wide); thence turning 90 degrees left and going a distance of 25 feet eastwardly to a point; thence turning 90 degrees left and going a distance of 67.56 feet nodhwardly along the west lot line of lot 18 of the Wilson Square Subdivision to the point of beginning. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to have this ordinance recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, Missouri. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law.
