I iOdS/Og?O BILL NO. 8314 INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER MUNKEL ORDINANCE NO. 6096 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PUBLIC ALLEY EAST OF NORTH AND SOUTH BOULEVARD AND NORTH OF AHERN AVENUE IN RICHARDSON'S WASHINGTON PARK SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, there is a public alley east of North and South Boulevard and north of Ahem Avenue in Richardson's Washington Park Subdivision in University City, Missouri, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, a hearing was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri, at 7:30 p.m. on January 6,1997, to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of the public alley; and WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of the public alley were heard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The public alley in the following described property and all of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as follows: An alley beginning at point lying 125 feet east of the east right-of-way line of North and South Boulevard, also being the southeast comer of lot 5 of block 1 of the Richardson's Washington Park Subdivision; thence going 110 feet northwardly along the east lot lines of lot 5, lot 4, lot 3, and lot 2 of block 1 of the Richardson's Washington Park Subdivision to a point, also being the northeast corner of lot 2 of block 1 of the Richardson's Washington Park Subdivision; thence turning right 90 degrees and going 12 feet eastwardly to a point, also being the northwest corner of lot 6 of block 1, of the Richardson's Washington Park Subdivision; thence turning 90 degrees right and going 110 feet southwardly to a point also being the southwest corner of the above said lot 6; thence turning 90 degrees right and going 12 feet westwardly to the point of beginning. The total land area of the alley is approximately 0.03 acres.
