ORDINANCE NO. 6104 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, AS COMPREHENSIVELY AMENDED <br />OCTOBER 19, 1970, BY ORDINANCE NO. 4591, BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, <br />AT OR NEAR 1525 NORTH & SOUTH FROM "LC" - LIMITED <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, TO "SR" - SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT, AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 34-9 OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, BEING THE UNIVERSITY CITY ZONING CODE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City (University City Zoning Code) divides the City into <br />several zoning districts, and regulates the character of buildings <br />which may be erected in each of said districts, and the uses to <br />which the buildings and premises located therein may be put; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, after hearing on February <br />26, 1997 reviewed the classification of the properties herein <br />described and recommended the rezoning of said property to "SR" <br />(Single Family Residential District); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City <br />Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 7:30 p.m., <br />April 14, 1997, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a <br />newspaper of general circulation within said City on March 29, <br />1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing was duly held and the matter of <br />the zoning change was thoroughly discussed at said meeting. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />University City, Missouri, relating to zoning is hereby amended by <br />changing the classification of the following described property at <br />or-near I525 North & South - Lots 1 and 2 in Block 4 of Belmont <br />Hills, from "LC" - (Limited Commercial District) to "SR" - (Single <br />Family Residential): <br /> <br />Lots 1 and 2 in Block 4 of Belmont Hills located at the <br />Northwest corner of North and South Boulevard and Milan <br />Avenue, fronting collectively 131.26 feet, more or less, <br />on the West line of North and South Boulevard and Milan <br />Avenue of 100 feet, more or less. <br /> <br />The above described tract having a St. Louis County <br />locator number of 16K-34-0321. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Except for the change of the classification herein <br />made, said Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of University City <br />(University City Zoning Code) shall remain in full force and <br />effect, as heretofore amended, and all the provisions, conditions, <br /> <br /> <br />
