R~:~~' ORDINANCE NO. 6117 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-138 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 5124, ENACTED NOVEMBER 20, 1978, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PARKING, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-138. SAME - PARKING LIMITS"; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic, is hereby amended by repealing Section 21- 138 thereof, as amended by Ordinance No. 5124, enacted November 20, 1978, relating to the designation of parking limits, and enacting in lieu thereof a new sectk~ to be known as "Section 21-138. Same - Parking Limits"; so that said section as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 21-138. Same - Parkin.a Limits. In parking zones established by Section 21-137, it shall be unlawful for a vehicle to park in excess of the time indicated in the following zones: Zone A - Zone B - Zone C - Zone D - .... ,-~.. .,~::...,~ · .$::,~ ...."~.~ .;...'~..:,:.,.'"~..' .~.::::::,:.~ ..... :~ ...'..~.. ;~: ~.:.:~ ~: ~::: ~:~. One hour limitation. Two hour limitation. Two hour limitation. Eight hour limitation. Thirty minute limitation. Three hour limitation; except however such' a~ebs ~.~..~.ay.. be designated for permit parking. Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Ordinance No. 5124, enacted November 20, 1978, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, as provided by law.
