BILL NO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF LOOP <br />NORTH IN THE DELMAR GARDEN SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND <br />DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a public street (Loop Norlh) in the Delmar Garden subdivision <br />University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at City Hall of University City, Missouri at 7:30 p.m. <br />on September 22, 1997, to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of a portion of <br />Loop North; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation era portion OF Loop North <br />were heard. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA1NED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. A portion of Loop North in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; <br />and all University City's right, title and interest herein, is hereby vacated, surrendered and quit <br />claimed reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any; said portion of Loop North is more <br />specifically described as folloxvs: <br /> <br />The point of beginning is located at the point of intersection of the west right-of-way line of <br />Leland Ave. (85 feet wide), a public street located within the City of University City, <br />Missouri, and the north right-of-way line of Loop North Ave. (100 feet xvide) a public street <br />located within the City of University City, Missouri. This point of beginning is located 13 <br />feet north of the southeast corner of Lot 5 of Block C, of the Delmar Garden Subdivision, <br />(a subdivision located within the City of University City, Missouri, and described on a plat <br />recorded in book 11, on page 42 of the St. Louis County Recorder of Deeds records). <br />Thence fi-om this point off beginning proceed wcstwardly along a line parallel to the south <br />line of l~ot 5 a distance of 90 feet to a point; then turn 90 degrees left, and proceed <br />southxvardly a distance of 8 lk?et to a point; then turn 45 degrees left, and proceed <br />southeasterly a distance of 5.66 feet to a point; then turn 45 degrees left, and proceed <br />eastwardly along a line parallel to the south line of Lot 5 a distance of 86 feet to a point; then <br />turn 90 degrees left, and proceed northwardly a distance of 12 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />The total land area lying within the above described boundaries is 1072 square feet or 0.0246 <br />acre more or less. All existing public utility easements lying xvithin the above described <br />boundaries shall remain in effect. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to have this ordinance recorded in the oftice <br /> <br /> <br />
