BILL NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ADMINISTRATION OF REPEALING SECTION 2-7. I THEREOF, RELATING TO FEES FOR USE OF CITYAMBULANCE SERVICE AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 2-7. I. FEES FOR USE OF CITY AMBULANCE SERVICE," TO INCREASE THE BASE FEE FROM ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX DOLLARS ($156) TO TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200); CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING ~PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section I. Chapter 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to Administration is hereby amended by repealing Section 2-7. I thereof, relating to Fees for Use of City Ambulance Service and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 2-7. I, Fees for Use of City Ambulance Service, "to increase the base fee from one hundred and fifty six dollars ($156) to two hundred dollars ($200), re-enacting said section, so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: SECTION 2-7. I FEES FOR USE OF CITY AMBULANCE SERVICE Any person using the facilities of the City ambulance shall be charged the amount of two hundred dollars ($200) for each such use. In addition to such base fee, an additional thi~'-five dollars ($35) shall be charged for any and each of the following services provided; endotracheal intubation, IV administered, suctioning airway, and/or oxg, gen adminis'tered. In the event of a University City ambulance responding to a mutual aid reciprocal jurisdiction, then the city may charge such fees that that jurisdiction charges. Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Section 2 nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter I, Section 1-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City. Section 4. This ordinanace shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law.
