BILL NO. <~3(o(~:2 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO ST. LOUIS COUNTY WATER COMPANY A PERMANENT EASEMENT ON A STRIP OF GROUND LOCATED ADJACENT TO HARVARD AVENUE. WHEREAS, St. Louis County Water Company desires to construct and maintain an underground water main within property owned by the City of University City, Missouri; and WHEREAS, said property is located adjacent to Harvard Avenue; and WHEREAS, the easement will further the preservation of the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the people of the City of University City; and WHEREAS, the City of University City is willing to grant, sell and convey to St. Louis County Water Company the requested easement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of University City, Missouri, is the owner of certain land located adjacent to Harvard Avenue described as shown hachured on the attached "Easement Plat" marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. Section 2. In consideration for the sum of one dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of University City hereby grants, sells and conveys an easement in said property to St. Louis County Water Company, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the "Easement" marked Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof. Section 3. The Mayor of the City of University City is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of University City, all documents in connection with said grant, sale and conveyance.
