Rev. 1987 <br /> <br />618.740 <br /> <br />Same - Sealing of Said Measuring Devices. <br /> <br /> The Supervisor of Weights and Measures shall cause to be sealed or marked with appropriate devices, <br />all measuring devices described in Section 618.720 of this chapter in the same manner and under the same <br />terms as are prescribed in Section 618.140 of this chapter. <br /> <br />618.750 <br /> <br />Powers and Duties of Supervisor- Testing. <br /> <br /> All of the powers and duties given to and imposed upon the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector and the <br />Inspectors relating to the inspection and testing of weights and measures as contained in Sections 618.050 <br />through 618.270 of this chapter shall be applicable to and shall apply to the testing of the devices for <br />measuring described in Section 618.720 hereof. <br /> <br />618.760 <br /> <br />Interference With Supervisor, Chief Inspector or Inspectors. <br /> <br /> No person shall fail or refuse to have any instrument or measuring device described in Section <br />618.720 hereof which is in his possession or use examined, tested, corrected or sealed when called upon for <br />that purpose by the Supervi~r, the Chief Inspector or any of the inspeaors and no person shall interfere with <br />said officers in the performance of their duty in testing said devices. No such instrument or measuring device <br />shall be deemed inspected, tested or sealed until the owners thereof shall have paid for said inspection and <br />obtained a proper certificate or certificates from the Supervisor of Weights and Measures. <br /> <br />618.775 <br /> <br />Contracts With Municipalities. <br /> <br /> The County Executive, with approval by order of the County Council, is hereby authorized to <br />contract with and provide weights and measures inspection services to incorporated cities, town and villages <br />of St. Louis County. The contracts authorized by this section shall provide for the collection and retention <br />of permit and inspection fees by St. Louis County. No contract shaft be entered into until the said city, town <br />or village desiring to cocci,act with St. Louis County for weights and measures inspection services shall have <br />duly adopted appropriate legislation authorizing the contract and shall have duly adopted a weights and <br />measures code identical in substance to this code. <br /> <br />618.780 Offenses. <br /> <br /> In addition to the specific offenses described in this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person, by <br />himself, or by his servant or agent of another person to: <br /> <br /> I. Knowingly and wilfully have in his possession for the purpose of using for any commercial <br />purpose, sell, off'er or expose for sale or hire, an incorrect weight or measure or any device or instrument <br />used or calculated to falsify any weight or measure; <br /> <br />WTAO(Rev)-22 <br /> <br /> <br />
