Rev. 1987 <br /> <br /> 2. Knowingly and wilfully dispose of any rejected to condemned weight or measure in any <br />manner contrary to law or regulation; <br /> 3. Remove from any weight or measure, contrary to law or regulation, any tag, seal, or mark <br />placed thereon by the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector or one of the inspectors; <br /> 4. Sell or offer to expose for sale less than the quantity he represents of any commodity, thing, <br />or service; <br /> 5. Take more than the quantity he represents of any commodity, thing, or service, when, as <br />buyer, he furnishes the weight or measure by means of which the amount of the commodity, thing, or service <br />is determined. <br /> 6. Knowingly and wilfully keep for the purpose of sale, advertise, or offer or expose for sale, or <br />sell any commodity thing or service in a condition or manner contrary to law or regulation. <br /> 7. Use in retail trade, except in the preparation of packages put up in advance of sale and of <br />medical prescriptions, a weight or measure that is not so positioned that its indications might be accurately <br />read and the weighing and measuring operations observed from some position which may reasonably be <br />assumed by a customer. <br /> <br />618.790 Penalties. <br /> <br /> Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) and each day such violation shall <br />continue shall be deemed to be a separate offense. In addition to the penalties prescribed herein, the County <br />Executive may take such other action, either at law or in equity, that he deems necessary in order to execute <br />and enforce the provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />WTAO(Rev)-23 <br /> <br /> <br />
