06/04/63 <br /> <br />measure, weighing or measuring device or other article shall be destroyed or sold at public auction, <br />as provided herein, until final adjudication on said hearing. <br /> <br />618.180 Powers and Duties of Chief Inspector and Inspector. That the powers and duties given <br />to and imposed upon the Supervisor by Sections 618.080, 618.090, 618.100, 618.110, 618.120, 618.130, <br />618.140, 618.150 and 618.160 of this chapter are hereby given to and imposed upon the Chief Inspector and <br />inspectors also. when acting under the insu'uctions and at the direction of the Supervisor. <br /> <br />618.190 Interfering With Weights and Measures Officers. Any person who shall hinder or obstruct <br />in any way the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector, or any of the inspectors in the performance of their official <br />duties shall be guilty of a violation of the provisions of this Chapter and upon conviction thereof, shall be <br />punished as provided in Section 618.790 of this chapter. <br /> <br />618.200 Impersonation of Weights and Measures Officer. Any person who shall impersonate in <br />any way the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector, or any inspector, by the use of his seal or a counterfeit of his <br />seal, or in any other manner shall be guilty of a violation of the provisions of this chapter, and upon <br />conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in Section 618.790 of this Chapter. <br /> <br />618.210 Sale of Scales To Be Reported. Every person engaged in the business, in the County, of <br />selling scales of any kind which are to be used for commercial purposes, shall, whenever a sale of any such <br />scale is made to anyone doing business in the County, report such sale within forty-eight (48) hours to the <br />Supervisor of Weights and Measures. <br /> <br />618.220 Certification of Scale Repair Men. Every person engaged in the business of repairing, <br />adjusting or in any manner correcting a defective scale, shall be certified by the Supervisor of Weights and <br />Measures and a certificate shall be issued to each person so engaged. Each person must, before engaging <br />in the repair of scales, apply in person to the Supervisor for such certificate. The certificate may be revoked <br />if such person so engaged fails to bring any inaccurate or damaged scale to within prescribed tolerances or <br />fails to inform the owner, lessee, or user that it is impossible to so do. No fee shall be charged for the <br />certificate, but each repairman must satisfy the Supervisor of his ability to repair a scale properly and bring <br />it into prescribed tolerances. <br /> <br />618.230 Record of Inspection. It shall be the duty of the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector and of any <br />inspector to keep a record of all instruments used or to be used for weighing or measuring which have been <br />tested, and the date. place of inspection. name of the party for whom such inspection was made, and the <br />amount of the fee or charge collected from said party for said inspection. <br /> <br />WTAO-7 <br /> <br /> <br />
