The net .~veight of the solid fuel shall not be less than <br />97% of the net weight represented. with a maximum tolerance of 150 pounds for one load, regardless of the <br />size of the load weighed. The gross weight shall not be less than the weight represented, less the tolerance <br />permitted for the net weight of the load. The tare weight shall not be more than forty pounds less than the <br />true weight of the empty vehicle. <br /> <br />618.580 Fees for Weighing: Charging Improper Fee, Etc. <br />(1) Dealers in solid fuel shall be permitted to charge and receive a fee of Fifty Cents ($0.50) or any less <br />sum they may see fit to charge for any load of solid fuel weighed on their scales, except solid fuel in <br />quantities less than 1,000 pounds. Owners or operators of public or private scales are authorized to charge <br />and receive a fee of Fii~'y Cents ($0.50) or any less sum they may see fit to charge for any load or solid fuel <br />or other commodity weighed on their scale; provided however, that the sum actually charged for the <br />weighing of each load shall be uniform and the same in the case of every person who may have occasion <br />to have a load of solid fuel or other commodity weighed. <br /> <br />(2) No weigher in the County shall charge for weighing where no charge is authorized, or charge more <br />than the maximum fees prescribed, or vary the charge fixed by the owner of the scale as the maximum <br />charge. <br /> <br />(3) No weigher shall be required to deliver his certificate of weighing, until the fee, according to the <br />tariff fixed, is paid. The fee charged by weighers at public scales shall be uniform and the same in the case <br />of every person who shall have occasion to have any solid fuel or other commodity weighed, and the <br />maximum fee shall not exceed Fifty Center ($0.50) per load. <br /> <br />618.590 Disposing of Part of Load, Altering Certificate, Any person who shall have had any solid <br />fuel, or any other commodity, weighed upon any public scale or private scale having a legally bonded <br />weigher in the City of St. Louis or St. Louis County and received a certificate of the weight thereof who <br />shall sell or dispose of a part thereof; and afterwards sell or offer to sell the remainder as for the quantity <br />called for in his certificate, or who shall change, alter, or in any manner falsify the certificate of the weigher <br />or who shall perpetrate any fraud on the weigher or purchaser or shall suffer any of these things to be done, <br />shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this Ordinance and shall be prosecuted according to the terms and <br />provisions hereof. <br /> <br />618.600 False Certificate, Penaim for Sale Under. If any person sells or offers for sale or delivers <br />a load of solid fuel or any other thing or article in St. Lotds County under pretense of a weigher's certificate <br />obtained under and by virtue of the weight of another and different load from the one he sells, or offers for <br />sale, or delivers, shall be guilty. of a violation of this Chapter and shall be prosecuted according to the terms <br />and provisions hereof. <br /> <br />WTAO-17 <br /> <br /> <br />
