Any person-weigher scale or <br />other device operated or in use in violation of this section shall be subject to condemnation. seizure and <br />confiscation. <br /> <br />618.660 Types of Yard Measures Permitted, Use of Others, Misdemeanor. A yard stick, yard <br />measure, "Measuregraph," or any other device for measuring purposes, as contemplated by this Chapter shall <br />be made of hardwood, metal or metal composition of good quality with graduations of measurements <br />marked plainly thereon. No counter measures where tacks are set apart and used to determine measurements <br />of goods when sold shall be accepted as standard measure. It shall be unlawful for any person to u~ any <br />other than the hereinbefore said measures. <br /> <br />618.670 Construction Contracts. That fractional parts of any unit of weight or measure shall mean <br />like fractional parts of the value of such unit as prescribed or defined in sections 618.020 and 618.030 of <br />this chapter, and all contracts conceming the sale of commodities and services shall be consmaed in <br />accordance with this requirement. <br /> <br />618.680 Licensing of Solid Fuel Business; Copartnerships and Corporations. Before any person <br />shall engage in the solid fuel business, he shall make an application for a license or renewal of a license, in <br />writing, to the Supervisor of Weights and Measures, five days prior to the issuance of the license. Such <br />application shall set out, under oath, the following information: <br /> <br />(1) The name under which the dealer intends to do business; <br />(2) The address of the yard and separate sales office, if any; <br />(3) Whether the business shall be conducted as an individual, co-partnership or corporation; <br />(4) The full name and residence address of the applicant, if an individual, the names and <br />residence addresses of all partners if a co-partnership; and the names and addresses of all officers, <br />if a corporation; <br />(5) The names of all bonded weigh-masters who have been appointed in accordance with the <br />provisions of this Chapter; <br />(6) A list of the equipment to be used in the business. such as storage facilities and the make and <br />capacity, of scales. <br /> <br />In the case of a co-partnership or corporation, all delivery tickers and advertising must carry the name of the <br />licensed firm; and if co-parmerships or officers of a corporation operate separately, under their individual <br />names, separate licenses shall be required. <br /> <br />618.690 Equipment. No license required by this chapter to operate a solid fuel business shall be <br />issued to any person, firm or corporation that does not possess proper equipment for the operation of the <br />solid fuel business within St. Louis County.
