Rev. 1987 <br /> <br />measure, weighing or measuring device or other article shall be destroyed or sold at public auction, <br />as provided herein, until final adjudication on said heating. <br /> <br />618.180 <br /> <br />Powers and Duties of Chief Inspector and Inspector. <br /> <br /> That the powers and duties given to and imposed upon the Supervisor by Sections 618.080, 618.090, <br />618.110, 618.120, 618.130, 618.140, 618.150 and 618.160 of this chapter are hereby given to and imposed <br />upon the Chief Inspector and inspectors also, when acting under the instructions and at the direction of the <br />Supervisor. <br /> <br />618.190 <br /> <br />Interfering With Weights and Measures Officers. <br /> <br /> Any person who shall hinder or obstruct in any way the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector, or any of the <br />inspectors in the performance of their official duties shall be guilty of a violation of the provisions of this <br />chapter and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in Section 618.790 of this chapter. <br /> <br />618.200 <br /> <br />Impersonation of Weights and Measures Officer. <br /> <br /> Any person who shall impersonate in any way the Supervisor, the Chief Inspector, or any inspector, <br />by the use of his seal or a counterfeit of his seal, or in any other manner shall be guilty of a violation of the <br />provisions of this chapter, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in Section 618.790 of <br />this Chapter. <br /> <br />618.210 <br /> <br />Sale of Scales To Be Reported. <br /> <br /> Every person engaged in the business, in the County, of selling scales of~my kind which are to be used <br />for commercial purposes, shall, whenever a sale of any such scale is made to anyone doing business in the <br />County, report such sale within forty-eight (48) hours to the Supervisor of Weights and Measures. <br /> <br />618.220 <br /> <br />Certification of Scale Repair Men. <br /> <br /> Every person engaged in the business of repairing, adjusting or in any manner correcting a defective <br />scale, shall be certified by the Supervisor of Weights and Measures and a certificate shall be issued to each <br />person so engaged. Each person must, before engaging in the repair of scales, apply in person to the <br />Supervisor for such certificate. The certificate may be revoked if such person so engaged fails to bring any <br />inaccurate or damaged scale to within prescribed tolerances or fails to inform the owner, lessee, or user that <br />it is impossible to so do. No fee shall be charged for the certificate, but each repairman must satisfy the <br />Supervisor of his ability to repair a scale properly and bring it into prescribed tolerances. <br /> <br />WTAO01ev)-7 <br /> <br /> <br />
