BILL NO. <br /> <br />8s 7/ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-82 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP <br />INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE <br />KNOWN AS "SECTION 21-82. STOP INTERSECTIONS -- VEHICLES TO STOP AT <br />CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS," BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ESTABLISH <br />STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF CANTON AND LAUGHLIN AVENUES <br />AND WASHINGTON AND TRINITY AVENUES; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, relating to motor <br />vehicles and traffic, is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-82 thereof, relating to stop <br />intersections, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-82. Stop <br />intersections--vehicles to stop at certain intersections," by amending said section so as to establish <br />stop signs at the intersections of Canton and Laughlin Avenues and Washington and Trinity Avenues; <br />so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 21-82, Stop intersections -- vehicles to stop at certain intersections, <br /> <br />The following street intersections are hereby designated as "stop intersections" for certain <br />entrances thereto within the meaning of this Chapter. Evenn operator of a vehicle or other <br />conveyance proceeding on streets listed in the left hand column below shall stop such <br />vehicles or other conveyance before entering or crossing the street opposite in the right hand <br />column below: <br /> <br />Ahem Avenue ..............................
