BILL NO. Introduced by Councilmember ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY REPEALING SECTION 21-73 THEREOF, RELATING TO MAJOR STREETS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21~73. MAJOR STREETS DESIGNATED," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO DESIGNATE EIGHt-SECOND BOULEVARD, FERGUSON AVENUE, INTERSTATE 170, KINGSLAND AVENUE, MCKNIGHT ROAD, AND MIDLAND BOULEVARD AS MAJOR STREETS; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, relating to motor vehicles and traffic, is hereby amended by repealing Section 21-73 thereof, relating to major streets, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 21-73. Major streets designated," thereby amending said section so as to designate Eight-Second Boulevard, Ferguson Avenue, Interstate 170, Kingsland Avenue, McKnight Road and Midland Boulevard as major streets; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 21-73. Major streets designated. The following streets are hereby designated as major streets within the meaning of this chapter: Balson Avenue, from Midland Boulevard to Hanley Road. Big Bend Boulevard, from Delmar Boulevard to the southerly city limits. Canton Avenue throughout its entire length. Delmar Boulevard, from the easterly city limits to the westerly city limits. Eighty-Second Boulevard, from Olive to north city limits. Ferguson Avenue, from Vernon Avenue to the north city limits. Hanley Road, from the southerly city limits to the northerly city limits. I-170, from southerly city limits to northerly city limits. Jackson Avenue, from Delmar Boulevard to the south city limits. Kingsland Avenue, from Loop South to north city limits.
